Start a note from your wrist

Hello, friends. Granola’s new Apple Watch app uses a device people already have to make AI more useful. The app records in-person conversations with a tap, syncs notes across devices, and makes the recordings easy to access. Thanks to Granola for sponsoring today’s edition of The Deep View. Let us know what you think! Jason Hiner

Granola for face-to-face conversations. Now on Apple Watch.

Some of the most important conversations happen away from your laptop. Brainstorming at a whiteboard. A walking one-on-one. Candid advice over coffee. A customer visit or an investor chat where opening a laptop would break the whole thing.

Granola just launched an Apple Watch app built for exactly those.

Start with a tap

Tap your wrist to start taking notes. The screen turns bright Granola green and plays a sound, so you know it's working.

Then you're free to focus on the person in front of you. Tap again when you're done, and your notes are available on your phone and computer in moments.

Before a scheduled meeting, a subtle tap reminds you to start. For ad-hoc chats, you can add Granola as a complication on your watch face, so a new note is always one tap away.

The best wearable is one you already have

Rather than build a new device you'd have to remember to carry, Granola built for the one already on your wrist.

They've been testing it internally for a while, and what surprised them is how natural it feels. Many of the team now leave their laptops closed, even in meeting rooms, while Granola takes notes in the background.

When transcription is running, it's visible

Worth being clear on this. The bright green screen isn't decorative. When a note is running, everyone in the room can see it. You start the note, you stay in control, and you get the context afterwards.

Your notes, wherever you work

Notes started on Apple Watch sync automatically to Granola on your iPhone and your Mac or Windows computer, ready to review, edit or keep working on.

Through Granola MCP, they can also become context for the other AI tools you connect. And through Granola's integrations, they can flow straight into your CRM and the other tools your team runs on.
